Our Air Quality …

It’s that time of year, when everything gets stuck in the Valley.
Including ALL of California’s bad air.
Breathing has suddenly become an option.

Thank You @LizaJne …

Speaking of Gratitude … a while back @LizaJne read my post about @Starbucks & @Klout and discovered I loved Pikes Peak Coffee.

So, what did she do?  She surprised me and sent TWO bags of Pikes Peak Coffee with the sweetest note attached.

Every morning, as I’ve made my mocha magic out of that coffee (because I’m not adult enough to drink it black) I’ve thought of @LizaJne and just how incredibly sweet she was to surprise me with that coffee.

Totally. Really. Surprised
It was one of the sweetest, most unexpected, out of the blue surprises!

ThankYou, ThankYou, ThankYou @LizaJne ~
I’m drinking up the last of your gift and I have LOVED every minute of it!!

Can you see why I’m so grateful?

My life is full of awesome moments and totally awesome people!

XOXO

Life Happens …

These are what my Petunia’s looked like.

Before the neighborhood squirrels killed them.

Yes.  Killed them.  Dead.  Gone.

Damn squirrels.

But, my life is full of Gratitude, because that’s where I choose to place my focus.
Whether it is your Petunia’s being attacked by ungrateful brown beasts,
the loss of people you love, unforeseen medical battles, or just a plain bad day …
Focusing on Gratitude will get you further faster.

And in a much better mood.

I have a million volts of #gratitude as life falls into place.  It doesn’t mean my life doesn’t have hard moments, it just means my focus is on all I have to be grateful for.

Tomorrow … For Anyone who’s ever fought their way through ANY Illness …

Tomorrow is going to be an AWESOME Day!
Because I’ve all ready made up my mind today, “It Will Be…. so, It is!”

I will eat healthy, be healthy, take all my vitamins & meds,
complete my workout routine,
laugh more,
accomplish more,
and be full of energy to spare
with a fog free brain.

Because I have all ready decided it will be … it now is.

Last night was a bad night (health wise – side affects from medication),
so I’m deciding tonight to relax and flow, to have more patience,
nurture myself, and curl up in bed early.

Pushing won’t make some things better.  Rest Will.
The trick is knowing when to push and when to rest.

And if all else fails, I always know,
‘This, too, Shall Pass.’

Currently at My Front Door …

I love summer mornings and the quiet bliss it brings to my day.
I love the slight breeze, the stillness filled with sunshine or a misplaced cloud,
the quiet calm that fills the air and floats around me in a happy rhythm of both bright and soft floral colors everywhere my eye can see.

They’re not all perfect.
And neither is life.

They need to be trimmed and fed and pruned.
Just like my life.

They don’t always grow or turn out as I’d hoped,
or sometimes illness, an invading snail or some other thing
I haven’t heard of will bring them down.
And then I have an opportunity to learn.
To adjust.  To mend.  To heal.  To help.
To grow …

Funny how gardening stretches it’s way through life
with all it’s beautiful colors and bliss, it’s victories, it’s disappointments
and want for help.  Thriving, bending, but never quite breaking or giving up.

Gardening teaches life.
Life grows with gardening.
Each expresses a creative opportunity.
Each embraces change and opens doors …
If you allow yourself to see it.

What doors in your life need to open?
Do you see them?
